Very nice place for breakfast and/or coffee with some pastry. Their filled croissants are heaven. Fully packed with the cream (nata) or with chocolate. Freshly pressed orange juice and good coffee. You can see the bakers preparing fresh batch of pastry while enjoying your breakfast. Prices are very nice.

An absolute gem in the heart of the city! We recently visited Charamel Gozotegia (Centro) and were completely blown away. Hands down, they serve the best croissant I have ever had the pleasure of tasting – perfectly flaky, buttery, and baked to a golden-brown perfection.
Beyond the heavenly croissants, their sandwiches are truly outstanding. Each one we tried was fresh, generously filled, and bursting with flavour. What made our visit even more special was the incredibly nice and welcoming staff, who made us feel right at home.
As an added bonus, we had the delightful opportunity to see the bakers in action, skillfully preparing the dough for those great croissants right before our eyes. It was a fantastic glimpse into the craftsmanship that goes into their delicious pastries.
Charamel Gozotegia (Centro) is an experience not to be missed. Absolutely recommended!- Servicio

In the grand, unscripted adventure of culinary exploration, I recently stumbled upon a pastry shop that left me astounded, my senses drenched in delight. Sometimes, it's the unexpected encounters that turn into epicurean revelations. It all began with the best mistake I've ever made, a serendipitous detour that led me to the finest croissants of my life.
You see, my trusted breakfast destination had yet to unfurl its doors to the world that morning, leaving me and my comrades famished and in a hurry. Desperation had us scouring the streets on a hot morning in search of a worthy morning meal. It was in the midst of this breakfast chaos that we stumbled upon a nondescript pastry shop, nestled quietly on an otherwise unassuming street.
With no time to dawdle, we rushed in, and a delightful aroma enveloped us as if we'd just crossed a gastronomic threshold. The pastries on display, glistening with layers of golden perfection, whispered sweet promises of an unforgettable breakfast. We ordered a trio of croissants, and in an act of culinary grace, they were served to us warm and with a smile.
Now, I've had my fair share of croissants, from the bustling streets of Paris to the quaint bakeries of Budapest, but never, I say, never have I had the privilege of sinking my teeth into such a marvel. These croissants were an artisanal masterpiece, a testament to the craft of baking, and they beckoned to be savored, not devoured.
The first bite was a revelation. The exterior, a delicate, flaky shell, revealed a treasure trove of tender, buttery layers within. Each mouthful was a harmonious symphony of crisp and creamy, and I could feel the layers dance on my tongue. The butter content, substantial but not overwhelming, lent the croissant an unparalleled richness and depth of flavor. The aroma of freshly baked bread intertwined with the intoxicating scent of warm, oozing butter, creating a fragrant masterpiece.
As I savored these croissants, I couldn't help but think of all the mornings I've spent in cafes across the globe, searching for that elusive perfection. Yet here it was, in a quiet pastry shop, not in the bustling streets of Paris or the romantic alleys of Vienna, but in an unexpected corner of the world. A culinary serendipity, if you will.
So, always be open to the unexpected, for hidden treasures lie in the most unlikely of places. And if you ever find yourself in a rush, with your breakfast plans in disarray, embrace the unpredictability of life. For it was during such a moment that I stumbled upon the best croissants I've ever had, and I wouldn't have it any other way.Amazing croissant rolls with blackcurrant and ricotta! Great coffee too. So good we came back 3 times!

True to their name: A charming bakery-cafe with a wide assortment of sweet but also savoury bites for just about any time of day. They also have a nice selection of teas and coffees.

The cinnamon rolls and the fruit rolls are unbelievable. This is a wonderful cafe.
Outstanding croissant made on the premises. Fantastic coffee with tomato toast. We visited on National Day, and they were very friendly. Good quality coffee and enjoyed our double espressos.
One of the best coffee I have tried in Spain! I really enjoyed apple pie too. Friendly staffs also added a good memory to this trip. Will definitely come back next time i visit Bilbao.

Absolutely wonderful. Their cinnamon roll is perfect: not too greasy or excessively sweet 👌🏻
Pastries are made there and really good. The coffee is a bit too creamy but ok with the pastries
Cute place, great coffee and sweets. One of the favourites in Bilbao.
